To start a new message as shown in the screenshot, first click icon for new message, then begin typing a member name with whom you are connected. Group organizers, moderators and teachers have additional privileges for message sending.

Group Messages

The creator of a Group can assign the roles of Organizers and Moderators to help administer the group, whether or not the group is associated with a particular course. This video, designed for administrators, is helpful for anyone to understand how group messages work.
